Several defining situations in his life are described that provide further insight into our leader. Some of that insight comes from his wife, Ms. Krieber.
After watching in person the dignified way in which Mr. Dion treated his fellow candidates at convention, and all Liberals since, I can confidently say his collectively interested decision-making process bodes well for the future of the Liberal Party of Canada.
I can't help but share again the quote picked out of the Globe by Sinestra. It speaks volumes:

“They could have asked me how to get rid of him and I would have told them: ‘Leave him alone, ignore him.' Instead they provoked him. . . . You know, my husband is a romantic knight.”
The formula so far seems to be about some universal principles that make me quite comfortable with Dion's leadership: merit, loyalty, fairness of process and perhaps a touch of Machiavelli as per Sinestra which is great to ensure there is some accountability.

Its important to get these ideas out about our leader before the Cons and their cult try and drown out the truth with wild-eyed blather. I don't think there's any need to amplify the characteristics of Dion, he's an honest guy with tonnes of integrity, but just as Harpor is thumping his chest in the media about 'I'm ready to rumble' kind of foolery, we need to combat that by pointing out the obvious = Who is Harpor fooling? He's the only one talking about an election, he's the one trying to raise the tone into some kind of machismo theme song, even despite his cowardice on the iraq file. BIP. all Harper is doing is tactical and strategic. If that's all he brings to the table it may end up being remembered as dodgy with too few ideas.
You can't go wrong when process guides the way. Not everyone can make a point without making an enemy, real diplomacy, and Stephane has now made several quite important ones that show a level of maturity in his leadership.
I read the whole piece in the G&M and thought Dion is fascinating and brilliant. I laughed and laughed at his Bam the dog joke. I was so impressed that this guy would take his new daughter to the US for two months while his wife finished her job here in Canada. Stephane Dion has character.
